STARVING 2 SERVE: so far you have raised over $36,000 to help people in our community and around the world. Don't forget to turn in any other donations that come to you! See below for information about the Weekend of Service
What is Starving 2 Serve?
STARVING 2 SERVE is our fundraising event to help our community and our world. We partner with the church-wide Weekend of Service that does local service projects with kids, the homeless, the sick and projects to fix up and beautify local schools and parks. For the world aspect we partner with Outside the Bowl, a charity group that builds soup kitchens in impoverished nations. The newest venture being Tijuana, Mexico. Our students will be getting people to sponsor them to go without food for 30 hours. During this time students learn about sacrifice; what it means to be hungry and in need something millions of people face everyday in our community and the world.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE: A parent or guardian must fill out the S2S consent form. Once this is turned in you will recieve your packet. This packet has all the info you need to know about what you are collecting money for, holds the S2S receipts (for cash ONLY), and serves as a handy dandy money collecting receptacle! All money and receipts need to be collected in this envelope and brought to the STARVING 2 SERVE celebration on March 25th. Please have checks made out to North Coast Church with the students name in the memo.
95% of the proceeds for this event will go support communtiy service in our local area as well as to help stop world hunger. This is such an awesome opportunity for us to give back since God has given us so much.
