Hey Leaders, we have 7 Expectations for our TNL Small Group Leaders. We aim to communicate these to you throughout the year. Please take this self-assessment below to see what you’re doing well and where improvement might be necessary.

Expectation 1: Be committed.

This includes being committed to a personal relationship with Jesus, your life group students and to JH78. You live above reproach, are at TNL for your students and aim to make JH78 a better place.

Expectation 2: Keep track of your students in your small group

Do you make it a priority to connect with your kids? Do you find yourself hanging out with students more than you do leaders? Do you take accurate attendance and know who the visitors are?

Expectation 3: Be more than a small group leader.

This includes being willing to jump in where we need you and aiming to making connections with students outside of small group time.

Expectation 4: Lead an effective small group time.

This mean you prepare for discussion, discipline your students, create a safe atmosphere for sharing, include everyone in discussion and make sure group is fun!

Expectation 5: Contact your students every week outside of church.

This would include calling, texting, or reaching out via social media, etc

Expectation 6: Communicate with your director.

Do you let your director know if you can't come or are running late? Do you let your director know if there are concerns regarding students or questions/frustrations you have?

Do you model to students what worship looks like? Do you help discipline students that are being distractions?
