Hey parents! Soon your 8th grader will be considered a high schooler at North Coast Church. This promotion time is always filled with excitement, nerves, and even sadness as they are leaving JH78. However, our prayer is your student stays involved in youth ministry at North Coast and absolutely loves our High School ministry called Fuel NineTen. This brief letter is meant for the process to go as smooth as possible and to answer any questions going forward. It was a privilege serving alongside you and your child during their junior high years and my staff and myself will miss your child tremendously. Let them know they can come back and visit anytime!

PARENT MEETING WITH NINETEN STAFF: MAY 30TH IN NINETEN ROOM AT 6PM
MAY 30TH : FINAL SMALL GROUPS
Tuesday, May 30th will be the final small group time for our 8th grade students.
Each small group will be doing something special during TNL at church to bond with one another and their leaders.
Some groups will stay the same entering high school while others will change. Our hope is that your students finds the right small group for their spiritual growth as they go into high school!
JUNE 3/4TH: FINAL JH78 WEEKEND
This will be the final weekend service our 8th grade students will spend in the Junior High room. We will have our normal Saturday service at 5pm and Sunday services at 9am and 11am.
Come to one or come to all to experience what JH78 has to offer. More importantly, we will be sharing from the Bible and praying God speaks to everyone during this transition time.
The following weekend, June 10/11th, students will attend Fuel NineTen Weekends.
JUNE 6TH: FINAL TNL
We hope every 8th grade student can make it out to their final TNL (unless they come back as a leader!).
There will be a time of sharing from students and staff, some type of snack or dessert, Salt awards, probably tears and worship!
FIRST NINETEN WEEKEND (JUNE 10/11) AND MIDWEEK (JUNE 14)
All North Coast Vista students promote to the next grade the weekend of June 10/11, so your student will start meeting in the NineTen room on weekends then. Also, youth group is switching from Tuesday nights to Wednesday nights June 14!
Every NineTen event provides an incredible experience that involves community, teaching, worship and fun!

MEET AUSTIN PAYNE
Austin is our Fuel NineTen Pastor. He took over leadership of the ministry in 2017 and has a passion for youth ministry. He grew up on the mission field in Quito, Ecuador before moving to America. He graduated from Biola University and was formerly on staff at Atascadero Bible Church and Hume Lake before moving to North Coast. He is married to his wife, Paige, who is on staff with The Jordan Young Adults and they have two children. He hopes your student feels like they belong at NineTen and grows in their relationship with the Lord.
